Make it a full evening out! We encourage everyone to arrive a little early to enjoy dinner before the tiles begin to shuffle. Saloon Door West offers a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere with counter-service ordering, a delicious food menu, and a selection of beer and wine available for purchase.
One of the core missions of The Mahj-on Society is building community while supporting the amazing local businesses that make our towns so special. By gathering at locally owned venues like Saloon Door West, we’re able to enjoy a fun night of Mahjong while giving back to the businesses that invest in our communities.
Open Play is designed for players who are already comfortable with National Mahjong League rules and can play independently at the table. While everyone is always welcome, Open Play is not intended as an instructional class. If you’re still learning the game or need assistance with rules or strategy, we’d love to have you join one of our Mahjong 101 or 102 classes first so you’ll feel confident and ready to enjoy Open Play!
